Satish Chatwani

Satish Chatwani’s career has spanned over 45 years. Born in Uganda Satish joined KPMG in 1972 spending 4 years there and qualified and became a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants.

Moving on from KMPG Satish Chatwani went on to work at Citroen Wells & Co. Enjoying a further 4 years. He is now a Fellow of the Institute of Certified Accountants, Fellow of the Institute of Management Accountants and a Fellow of the institute of Chartered Accountants

In 1981 Satish decided to launch his own venture and created Chatwani & Co, a firm of Chartered Accountants. Based on the success of this venture, he and his brothers Rashmi Chatwani and Jawahar Chatwani became Directors and Shareholders of Kanta Enterprises Limited.

Kanta Enterprises is a group company and offered the shareholders and Mr Chatwani the opportunity to create a multitude of new projects.

From 1991and todate , Mr Chatwani and the shareholders of Kanta Enterprises founded new companies, Inchstore, Aquarius Hotels, Kel Financial Consultants, Copson Hotels & Leisure, Aquarius Homes, Letchworth Hall Hotel, F.Copson and LCP Building Supplies, Waverley House Hotel, M & M Export, K Café,Cheraday, Kanta Developments, White Horse Hotel,Strategic Business, Chatwani LLP

 

In 1992 Satish and the shareholders went on to create one of the groups more prominent companies, Davis & Dann.

In 1995 Satish Chatwani and his brothers Rashmi Chatwani and Jawahar Chatwani became directors of Fairview Hotels which now owns operates twelve hotels all branded with Accor Hotels including two Mercure Hotels, Three Ibis and seven Novotels. The portfolio of five hotels was increased in 2016 by the acquisition of 4 hotels and a further three in 2017. This expansion now means that the group has 1300 bedrooms and employs over 600 people.

 

Satish sits as the President of International Committee of Anoopam mission a charitable organisation and is also a member of London Entrepreneurial Exchange, TIE UK, the British Asian Trust and the London Chamber of Commerce.

Satish alongside a full and entrepreneurial career enjoys staying active, playing tennis and in the gym. Whilst also contributing to society with regular voluntary work.
